Bringing India’s Hidden Crafts Online – One Voice at a Time

A curated marketplace celebrating India’s artisans, heritage crafts, and handmade excellence.
We connect customers to authentic handcrafted sarees, home décor, jewellery, leatherwork, metal crafts, and more—directly from the creators.

For the Artisan who says:
  • Main Phone Se Nahi kar Paata...
  • मी ते फोनवरून करू शकत नाही...
  • আমি ফোনে এটা করতে পারব না...
  • நான் அதை போனில் செய்ய முடியாது...

This proof-of-concept shows how a future mobile app can help Indian handicrafters create and manage their online store without reading, typing, or knowing English.

Imagine an artisan who can:
  • Tap a mic and speak the product details
  • Take a photo of their work
  • Let AI generate product descriptions in their language
  • Have the page read aloud for them

This website is our first demo of that journey.
  • How the Full System Will Work

    1. Speak and Snap

The artisan opens the mobile app, taps the mic, and speaks about the product. They take a quick photo using the phone camera.

    2. AI Assists

AI analyzes the photo, generates a clear product description, suggests pricing, and prepares a social-media-ready caption – in the artisan’s language.

    3. Store Goes Live

The product appears in an online store like this one, where buyers across India (and the world) can discover, listen to, and buy their work.

    Built for Low-Literacy
    and Visually Impaired Artisans

Most online marketplaces assume users can read comfortably, navigate complex menus, and understand English. Many Indian artisans can do none of these – but they can speak, listen, and create magic with their hands.

This demo store is a starting point to show:
  • Text-to-Speech: Product details can be played as audio.
  • AI Image Understanding: The system can “look” at product photos and create text.
  • Simple Flows: Fewer buttons, fewer steps, more guidance.
  • Tailors. Weavers. Embroiderers. Potters. Metalworkers. You.

Whether it’s a handwoven saree from a small town in Odisha, a block-printed stole from Rajasthan, or custom blouses from a one-room tailoring unit in Bengaluru – this concept is built for the people who keep India’s craft alive but are digitally invisible.
